The Curry Leaves plant is local to India. Initially, the herbal name or botanical name of the curry plant was Murraya Koenigii which then later on changed to Bergera Koenigii. Curry leaves are widely used in the southern and western region of India. The normal height of the curry patta varies from 6-12 feet when full grown.

Type of plant: Indoor/outdoor

Plant care:

  • Sunlight: Partial sunlight is required or your can provide partial shaded area. 
  • Water: Whether growing it as indoor plant or outdoor plant wait for soit to dry out. Allow soil to dry out between two consecutive watering because soggy soil will advance root spoil. Don't over water.
  • Fertilizer: During summer and spring, every four to five weeks we should provide fertilizer or compost to the curry leaf tree like clockwork.
  • Temperature: Best suited temperature for curry patta to grow is approximately 15°C to 17°C.
  • When curry plant is grown in pot it does very well. Well-drained soil is best for curry leaves.
  • Make sure there the area where plant is grown doesn't get a great deal of wind when it is grown outdoor, so spott the proper are for your plant.
  • During hot summer climate, the curry leaf tree should not be set in direct daylight or the leaves can get burned from the sunlight. During cold weather, the tree should be placed inside the house.
